Businesses that acknowledge and apply LMS trends can deliver optimal training to their employees and see better training results
FREMONT, CA : LMS has progressed from a simple framework for managing student records and distributing course materials to a core system that integrates other technology to improve future education. Today's modern LMS systems do more than managing and deploying courses. It uses analytics to gain a better understanding of not only student performance but the entire learning environment from 360-degree visibility. That is, from the viewpoint of the administrators, instructors, and students.
Analytics, interoperability, virtual reality (VR) and augmented reality (AR), mobile technology, and social networks are among the innovations that are transforming LMS today. These innovations expand the boundaries of how LMS can be used to reach out to more learners with more customized learning courses and more inclusive and improved learning outcomes.
Even though few LMS training trends are constant and repeat themselves year after year, others shift quickly. In 2021, there will be more transition than continuity due to COVID-19 that has changed the business sector.
Instructors will need the training to improve virtual content delivery
In 2020, at least two-thirds of companies proposed remote work opportunities for their workers due to the COVID-19 pandemic. As a result, several businesses now have remote training. Many companies expect to continue providing remote training even after the pandemic is over because they have seen its advantages directly.
It means that trainers who previously offered in-person training would need additional training to be prepared to teach remote learners.
Big data analytics will become more significant
For many years, big data analytics has featured on the list of LMS tech trends. But it is predicted that big data analytics will become widespread this year.
This trend is estimated to accelerate in growth in 2021, allowing businesses to increase their training ROI by collecting relevant information about their learners' experiences and presenting them with appropriate training formats.
Learners will expect AR, VR, and mixed reality training
The development of Augmented Reality, Virtual Reality, and Mixed Reality in the eLearning domain should be monitored in 2021.
AR, VR, and MR are still in the early stages of growth. These technological trends will increase in 2021, as many learners will prefer to see videos of information rather than reading it. This can be a positive trend because it can deliver training information more quickly to the learners than reading. This trend would also help people with learning disabilities or reading difficulties.
